Description
MAIN LODGE ("PURCHASE OPTIONS")
This Lodge is located on a private island and is the most northerly lodge on the lake, in fact being so remote; lodge pretty much has the north half of the lake all to themselves. That’s about 1.3 million acres. Being so remote means you don’t have to travel far for the best fishing spots, you’re sitting right on top of some of the biggest fresh water giants, only steps from the lodge. If you choose to explore and discover, there are an endless supply of new areas and breathtaking sites just waiting for guests of the lodge. It’s all up to the guests; they decide what adventure they want.
Established in mid-50’s on a private island in the middle crystal clear, cold and pristine lake, this lodge is one of the oldest and most established lodges on the lake with over 63 years of putting together great fishing adventures guests dream and brag about long after they are back home. Lodge limits the number of guests to provide an exclusive and intimate experience, second to none. Over the years many upgrades were made including a new lodge and many modern cabins with all the amenities of home. Whether it's a great fishing trip amongst great friends, a super relaxing holiday getaway, or corporate retreat, this lodge pretty much offers everything a guest or corporation could want to make their/employees trip the adventure of a lifetime.
LODGE ACCOMODATIONS/CABINS
Variety of modern and vintage style private cabins with hot showers, hotel style beds, fluffy towels, flush toilets, individually controlled propane cabin heaters and daily maid service all for guest’s relaxation and comfort. The Lodge limits the number of guests per week, which along with guest’s own private cabin provides an exclusive and intimate experience, second to none.
SAUNA
Guests of the lodge can feel their tensions melt away as they enjoy an evening’s sauna after a long day of serious exercise reeling in the big ones. Fragrant cedar plank sauna is housed in one of the original vintage cabins at the lodge.
EQUIPMENT
The lodge operates in very remote areas. The land is beautiful yet unforgiving of the ill-prepared. That's why the lodge only operates the best boats made for the North Country; comfortable, custom built, 18 foot Lund and Alumarine boats. These Northern Canada, wilderness tough boats are equipped with custom built padded seats with spring ride and air cushion suspension, raised casting decks, and rod holders, great storage and all operated by professional guides. Powering these boats are newer 50h.p. four stroke Yamaha outboards. Quiet, reliable and quick, it’s a great combination that will get the guests where they need to be. Each boat is equipped with long range tanks, VHF two-way radios and all the gear necessary for a superb day on the water.
AIRSTRIP (TRANSPORT CA GPS INSTRUMENT APPROACH)
The airstrip is right behind the lodge meaning no additional floatplane rides, bus rides, or bumpy boat rides after you land. Guests private charter airplane will land on a beautiful, remote & secluded private island and you’ll literally be steps away from the lodge. The Lodge was one of the very first fishing lodges in the north to install a Transport Canada approved GPS instrument approach.
TROPHY FISHING
The Action Never Stops at this Lodge!!
Guests of the lodge catch and release more than 1000 northern pike over 40 inches each year with many in the 50 inch range. How about one boat catching 18 Northern's over 40 inches in one morning. Lodge guests have caught in excess of 200 Lake Trout over 20 lbs. and some of the real big ones have been in excess of 60 lbs. 21 Northerns over 40 inches in 120 minutes ...unbelievable?. Not here! Guests catching more than 100 fish per day happens so frequently that the owners lost count!
NORTHERN PIKE, LAKE TROUT, WALLEYE and ARCTIC GRAYLING...This Lake has the Canadian Grand Slam of fishing all in one lake. No fly outs required! Why go where you have to fly out each day at an additional cost to catch fish when it's all at your fingertips and within minutes from the lodge!
A trophy fish is too valuable to be caught only once. The lodge has in past and continues to practice catch and release fishing. Other than your shore lunch, all fish are returned to the water to fight another day. Barbless hooks and proper release techniques will ensure that the trophy fish you catch will live and thrive for future fights.
OUTPOST
The camp is located on a very scenic spot on a square peninsula located on the north end of the lake across from an island. The setting is old growth mixed Pine, Birch, Spruce and Willow trees with a sandy shoreline around the whole peninsula. Facing the lake at the dock and depending on the water level for that year, you can walk to your left along the sandy beach and end up on a straight sand point jutting out into the lake. The camp is located approximately 18 miles west by air from the main lodge.
The outpost camp comprises of two big very well built 18 X 24 foot authentic upright rustic log cabins which can accommodate up to six people in each cabin. The cabins are an open concept with a big airtight wood stove in the center. Kitchen/dining facilities are at the front of the cabins while sleeping is at the rear. The cabins are built with upright logs because in the far north the trees are too short to build any length of horizontal walls. Each cabin has a big propane grill/barbeques positioned on the front deck for those famous steak nights. A do it yourself outpost with all the amenities. If guests are the do it yourself adventurer, amazing fishing is waiting for them in this picturesque setting.
OUTPOST FISHING
Three main species of fish at this Lake. The fishing speaks for itself. Northerns to 35 lbs, Lake Trout to 30 lbs and Walleye to 9 lbs.
ECO-ADVENTURES
Bears, Moose, Eagles, Caribou, Osprey, Otters, Mink, and Wolves are just some of the many different animals who make this lake their home. An Eco Adventure vacation submerses guests in nature and gives them an opportunity to become one with the environment. With all the natural scenery and beauty around, the area is a paradise for photographers and naturalists alike. Guests can hop in a kayak or canoe and in the cool morning mist, quietly and peacefully paddle around the many islands discovering what’s around that next bend. One of the lodges experienced guides help guests discover the vast and expansive territory teaching them about the land, water, wildlife and history of this majestic place along the way. This lodge can make guests next Eco Vacation the “Adventure of a Lifetime.“
CORPORATE GETAWAYS & RETREATS
This lodge is well known for designing and facilitating corporate retreats. Over the years many organizations have entrusted the lodge to host company getaways. If a company wants a working vacation, would like to treat employees for a job well done, reconnect with clients or would like a fantastic team building holiday, they have come to the right place. What better way to enhance the employer/employee relationship than in the clean, exhilarating fresh air of the north country surrounded by pure, crystal clear, deep blue water, and scenery that will take your breath away. All this based on your own private island paradise.
STATE-OF-THE-ART SOLAR SYSTEM & CAMERA SYSTEM
The SOLAR SYSTEM was installed in the fall of 2019 but wasn't commissioned till 2020. 16 - 300 watts panels (closer to 320 watts each I believe) are installed on the guide office building roof and another 8 - 320 watt panels are installed vertically separately on their own structure behind the building to keep the snow off for the winter providing power for the camera and internet system.
The brand new CAMERA SYSTEM was installed in 2020, a true advantage for owner. While four cameras are currently operating at the camp, four more cameras will also be installed.
