Main Lodge:

The owner just returned from lodge a few days ago, 3 fisherman CAUGHT & RELEASED over 200 fish in three days, many of them were trophies. The fishing was spectacular as is the norm on this lake!

This fly-in lodge is located not far from two airports. Lodge and cabins set in beautiful bay surrounded by pine, aspen and birch trees, sand beach, clear fresh water and rapids. The main lodge has a spacious lounging and dining area (24 x 30 feet), ample room for larger groups. The lodge has a modern kitchen and an ice machine to keep drinks cool in the evenings. Also, outside of the lodge, is a big ice machine for guests to fill their cooler bags for the day's fishing. All cabins are accessible from the lodge via easy-to-walk boardwalks.

Imagine flying by floatplane into the farthest northern wilderness of Saskatchewan where a beautifully constructed fishing lodge awaits you with comfortable and modern facilities. The scenery is breathtaking, the air crystal clean and the abundance of wildlife reminds you of a time when exploring uncharted wilderness was an everyday activity. It's all here waiting for guests of the lodge.

The main lodge was originally built by a world famous explorer for filming a documentary on aquatic wildlife such as Beaver, Mink, Pine Marten and Otters.

Recently, many new additions to the main lodge as well as a new vertical log cabin have been added to maximize comfort levels for lodge guests.

CABINS:

The smallest log cabin can sleep a family of three or four people. It's fully modern.
The largest cabin and has two separate bedrooms plus a main living room with a propane furnace for cool evenings. This cabin sleeps eight people.
The second largest cabin has one large bedroom and the main room, which can sleep seven people.
Shower house for convenience, has two separate rooms with locking doors, located between the cabins and the main lodge.

FISHING:

Fishing is the main focus of this lodge. The lake is stuffed with Trophy Northern Pike and Monster Lake Trout. Considered one of the top fishing lakes in Northern Saskatchewan for Northern Pike and Lake Trout and offers a quality of fishing that only a wilderness fly-in lodge can provide. Catch & Release on all large to trophy fish maintains this great fishing experience. Guests sometimes get a big surprise with a gigantic Burbot (Ling) on the line and most times the fisherperson was not even fishing for them.

Then you have those monster Northern Pike. Expect common pike in the 3-4 pound range and with a good day of fishing, you can catch 50-75 in a day. The expectation is 3-4 pike in the 36-inch range and trophy Pike that approach the 47-inch range. On average, each group can expect to catch 4 or 5 pike over 36 inches and 2 or 3 pike over 45 inches. There are lots on monster size Northern Pike over 47 inches. Guests who know the lake or others who are expert pike hunters usually catch many more.

The Lake Trout here are big too. Lake Trout are akin to Silver Salmon when it comes to fighting. The common Lake Trout are plentiful in the 2-5 pound range and there are plenty of Lunkers in the 6-10 pound range. Trophy Lake Trout weigh in the 20-35-pound range. A good day of fishing is 10-20 Lake Trout with the chance to battle the big ones.

The Lake Trout fight so hard that you never know if you have a 5-pounder or a 20-pounder on the line. The anticipation you feel while you battle the trout to the boat drives you nuts because you never know what you have until you see it. That's why people that fish for Lake Trout are usually Lake Trout fanatics. This Lake is one of the best Lake Trout fisheries in Saskatchewan and often turns guests into Lake Trout fanatics. Our guests have stories of giant Lake Trout being right up to the boat but too big to get in the net. On a good day, guests will catch from 10 to 20 Lakers per person, with as many as 43 recorded in one day. There are numerous stories of big ones that got away by either breaking the line or spooling the reel.

BOATS & MOTORS:

16-foot (16'6") boats are wide, stable and comfortable. They are specifically designed for fishing with the ability to troll at slow speeds and get in-&-out of tight or shallow spots. All boats have Honda 4-stroke motors. In addition there is a large pontoon boat, which is great for taking relaxing tours of the lake and also as a comfortable fishing boat for guests with physical limitations.
