The scenery and wildlife are spectacular!!

If guest focus is walleye fishing they can head down to where the river enters the main lake. There guests of the lodge will find active walleye fishing with average fish between 2 and 4 pounds and trophies weighing in the 6 pound range. This is a cold water Lake and the river too. So the Fish here grow slowly, which is why the lodge practices a strict catch and release only policy.
The other lake is a gin clear body of water with plenty of lake trout in the 4 to 6 pound range. The best month for Lake Trout fishing in September along the quiet edges where the water is warmest. Lake also offers outstanding 5 to 6 pound Northern Pike fishing, especially in the bays. All guests need here to enjoy fishing is light gear as the fish are plentiful and will wear you down in no time.

Lakes
Main Lake: Highly irregular, approximately 4-4 '/2 miles long. Tea stained colored water. Up to76 feet deep. Many islands with a lot of structure, weed beds later summer. Walleyes 1 # to 3# average. (Largest 6-7#). Northern pike average 3-6#, largest 274, most groups catch a 20# fish. Lodge is on this lake.
Second Lake: Circular, 1 3/4 miles in diameter. Lake is gin clear, up to 90 feet deep, and loaded with lake trout. One sizeable, shallow back- bay is pike heaven. To access, guests take a short boat trip from behind the cabin, up the river, to a marked trail to the other lake. About a quarter-mile walk. 2 boats on lake. Northerns 3-8 lbs. Lake Trout 3-6 lbs. Lots of fish!
River: Small river that feeds the main lake, eventually flowing south to the Churchill River. North of the lodge, from the inflow upstream, the river gets smaller, sluggish, and more difficult to navigate due to fallen timber; however, early in the year, the mouth of the river is full of spawning walleye. Heading down the river from the lodge may be adventurous as there is a series of waterfalls approx. 30' high. There are spawning walleye at the outflow and the deeper holes above the falls early in the year. Later the walleye move to the deeper water of the Main Lake and can be caught off rocky points and in deeper holes.
