RESORT LOCATION (DEEDED)
Very remote Drive-In resort on DEEDED property. Situated on the shore of a beautiful lake in the pristine wilderness of Northwest Manitoba. The lodge is accessible by road or by float plane. The lodge has been family owned and operated lodge for some 35+ years. During this time the owners have learned what it takes to provide their guests with the ultimate fishing experience of a lifetime, of course number one priority is the exceptional trophy fishing.
This lake offers some of the finest Trophy Pike and Walleye fishing found anywhere in Canada. According to the owners 90% of their guests in past tell them that they have caught the largest fish of their lives while at the lodge! Owners have practiced catch and release policy since they opened their doors some 35 years ago so you can imagine the size of the trophy fish caught on this lake. Designated High Quality fishery, is 10 miles wide and 15 miles long and covers over 27,000 acres. The lake contains incoming and outgoing rivers and creeks, islands, bays, reefs, and weed beds making it truly a fisherman's paradise.
Walleye: The Walleye fishing on this lake is excellent. The islands, points, and reefs provide ideal structure for fishing for Walleye. Even though the lodge is in northern Manitoba, the lodge guests catch several Master Angler Walleye each year!
Trophy Pike: In 1987 the lodge implemented a "no kill" policy for Trophy Pike. The owners strongly felt the "catch and release" philosophy would preserve the quality of the fishing for years to come. Each year many of the guests catch Manitoba Master Angler Pike (41 inches or larger).
Carpeted cabins with hot showers, controlled heat and 24 hour power and lights. The lodge conference facilities can accommodate groups as large as 40 people. After dinner guests can relax in the lodge and catch up on the day's fishing reports, play cards, shoot a game of pool, or watch satellite TV and movies.
Being the only lodge on the lake provides guests with an exclusive fishing experience without the competition from other lodges and outfitters. The lodge provides 16 foot deep hull aluminum boats equipped with 25 hp Mercury engines and comfortable, padded, Lund boat seats.
Lodge guests experience "World Class" Big Game Hunting for Black Bear in Northern Manitoba. Guests can hunt one of the newest areas allocated in Northern Manitoba for non-resident black bear hunters.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION / OWNER’S COMMENTS
Take the “Road” less travelled to Northern Manitoba, Canada! In 1976 my father took the “Road” less travelled. It was a road that headed north of Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada to a small northern town. The last 227 miles was a dirt and gravel road newly built to get supplies and trucks to a mining town in Manitoba. This lodge was our destination and the reason for our trip was Monster Manitoba Northern Pike that my father had read about in Field and Stream Magazine. It was said that there was a new road to a place in Northern Manitoba that was only reachable in the past by train or plane. Our first adventure to this lodge was filled with many huge pike over 20 lbs!!! The next year we made two trips and so on every summer thereafter until the owner of the lodge offered the Lodge to my father. My father purchased the lodge in the winter of 1980 and in 1981 was our first year of operation. To make a long story short, fast forward to now some 35 yrs later and with the catch and release we implemented back in the 80′s and barbless hooks, there are still as many Monster Manitoba Northern Pike today as there ever was!
